Silicon academy

Yantai Silikang Silicon Industry Research Institute was established in July 2020. It is the first research institute in China that specializes in the application of silicon elements to crops. It is a professional silicon product research and testing institution integrating consulting training, research and development, technological improvement, and trade guidance. The main services are to develop new applications of silicon elements in other industries; to provide customers with new silicon fertilizer production processes; to provide silicon product research and development and process improvement, to provide solutions for enterprises, to improve the performance and quality of silicon products; to study the improvement and efficiency increase of silicon elements in modern agricultural production; to provide training, consulting and trade guidance services, and to formulate group standards for silicon fertilizers.

In January 2021, Silikang Silicon Institute, together with Yantai Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Shandong Apple and Fruit Industry Research Institute, established the Shandong Apple and Fruit Industry Technology Research Institute Silicon Industry Science and Technology Innovation Center, responsible for the research on the mechanism of action of silicon in apple production.

In 2021, we cooperated with Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences to study the application of silicon in rose planting, and with the Smart Agriculture Research Institute of Yantai Academy of Agricultural Sciences to study the application of liquid silicon in the planting of leeks, tomatoes, and strawberries, and have achieved very gratifying results.

In 2022, we cooperated with the Sweet Cherry Research Institute of Yantai Academy of Agricultural Sciences to study the mechanism of action of silicon element series products in sweet cherry planting, as well as their practical application in quality improvement, stable yield, and increased yield.

Currently, several projects in cooperation with Yantai Academy of Agricultural Sciences are underway, and phased results have been achieved. Experts are analyzing the data; cooperation with Japanese experts on the research of "the application of silicon and water in economic crop planting" has achieved breakthrough results; cooperation with Taizhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences on the research of the role of silicon fertilizer in improving the quality and efficiency of southern sweet cherries. At the 2021 China Cherry Annual Meeting, Professor Hong Li from Taizhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences made a report on "Key Technology Research on Quality Improvement and Efficiency Increase of Southern Sweet Cherries", which mentioned that silicon fertilizer plays a key role in improving the quality of cherry fruits.

By the end of 2022, Silikang Silicon Industry Research Institute had invested more than 15 million yuan in the preliminary funding for the series research and development of silicon elements in agricultural applications. We have carried out a large number of experimental promotions with agricultural colleges and experts at all levels and places. We have successfully obtained experimental data for specific crop varieties such as apples, sweet cherries, strawberries, grapes, leeks, tomatoes, wheat, and rice. We have jointly published many national, provincial, and municipal scientific research academic reports on the application of silicon elements with agricultural colleges at all levels. We have laid a solid theoretical foundation for the development of modern agriculture and rural revitalization.
