Doctor, researcher, Taishan Scholar, recipient of special government allowance from the State Council, and director of the Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Fruit Tree Biotechnology. Currently serving as the director of the National Ministry of Agriculture's Huang-Huai Region Fruit Tree Science Experiment Station. Has received awards such as "Shandong Province Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Expert" and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs' "National Outstanding Agricultural Research Talent." Has presided over more than 20 national and provincial-level projects, and received 5 provincial-level and above scientific and technological awards, including 1 first-class prize and 4 second-class prizes for scientific and technological progress. Has reviewed and approved 14 sweet cherry varieties, including 2 national approvals and 2 national plant new variety protection rights; reviewed and approved 12 blueberry varieties, including 4 national forestry and grassland administration plant new variety rights. Using advanced genetic engineering, cell engineering and other biotechnology methods for directional breeding, the newly created sweet cherry varieties and dwarfing rootstocks have been promoted in China and abroad for a total of more than 1.5 million mu, generating a total economic benefit of more than 20 billion yuan.
